About the NewDemPAC
In March 2005, the New Democrat Coalition (NDC) in the U.S. House of
Representatives announced its new leadership and membership. The NewDems
and the NewDemPAC had a very successful first cycle and we all look forward to
becoming an even more effective force in this important 110th Congress.
Thanks to great support in Washington and across the country, we raised almost
$650,000 last cycle and welcomed 15 new New Dem Members to the 110th
Congress for a total of almost 60 Members.
The New Democrat Coalition provides moderate, pro-growth Members of Congress
the opportunity to advance a common sense policy agenda that will move our
country in the right direction. NewDems have built a reputation as effective leaders
on the critical issues of technology policy, economic growth, security and personal
responsibility. Intent on modernizing both the Democratic party and the country,
New Democrats support policies to expand economic growth and ensure that all
Americans have the opportunity to benefit; a fiscally responsible and efficient
government; a secure home front; and a robust foreign policy that includes trade,
constructive U.S. leadership throughout the world, and a modern and strong
military.
